Brian Cage entered AEW after a nice run in Impact Wrestling. His push never materialized in AEW as many thought it would. For one reason or another, Tony Khan never put much attention on The Machine and now his contract is running up.
It was previously reported that few AEW contracts are set to expire soon. It turns out that Brian Cage is a part of that list. It is not certain that he will leave the company, but it appears that is the case so far.
PW Insider noted that Cage’s deal with AEW is running up. That likely means Cage, who hasn’t been used on television in some time, is likely going to leave.
Brian Cage, who last wrestled for the promotion in October 2021 but had been backstage regularly since that time period.
Brian Cage’s wife, Melissa Santos, didn’t really help her husband’s case when she openly complained about his booking in Tony Khan’s company. We will have to see what’s next for him.
