Hikaru Shida suffered beatdown on AEW Dynamite and that gave her an opportunity to take some time off. She is not sticking around the United States, because the former AEW Women’s World Champion is already back in Japan.

Shida updated fans yesterday to let them know that she was on her way back to Japan. It wasn’t noted how long she will be gone, but Shida will have to go through a mandatory quarantine in Japan before she is allowed to officially enter the country.

As she posed next to her suitcase, complete with Hogwarts name tag, Shida updated fans once again to let them know what she will spend her quarantine time resting her knee and everything else.

Just arrived at Japan!
Gonna get rest my knee and whole body during quarantine

We’ll have to see how long it takes for Hikaru Shida to make her way back to the United States. AEW’s Women’s Division could certainly use her, because she was such a vital part of the roster throughout the pandemic as AEW Women’s World Champion.

Hopefully, Hikaru Shida has a nice stay in Japan and the present situation in the world doesn’t keep her from making a return on schedule.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
