Tommaso Ciampa has had one of the most extraordinary runs in the history of NXT. The bearded superstar has become somewhat of an elder statesman in the locker room. Ciampa has said in the past that he wasn’t sure he’d ever like to be called up to the main roster.

Ciampa recently lost his NXT Championship to Bron Breakker. The young superstar wrestled Goldie from Ciampa after literally kicking the old NXT era into pieces. Ciampa seemed like a man out of time in the developmental brand.

Tommaso was also known for his gray beard. The look made him appear to be a grizzled veteran amidst a sea of very young NXT talent. Ciampa wrestled T-Bar on this week’s WWE Main Event. The Sicilian Psychopath had a completely new look.

Ciampa’s gray beard was no more. The former NXT Champion has gone with a brown dye. It’s hard to believe how dramatic the difference is.

Ciampa went on to defeat T-Bar in the Main Event bout. Pete Dunne also beat Akira Tozawa on the show. Ciampa has been rumored as a potential main roster call-up for quite some time.

Now that the Bron Breakker era has begun and the black and gold NXT is no more, it might be a great time for some change. Tommaso Ciampa gave his heart and soul to NXT. The new generation kicked it to pieces at New Year’s Evil.
