Brandi Rhodes was named the Chief Brand Officer for All Elite Wrestling on January 3, 2019. The company was still in its infancy at that time. It has since grown into the second largest professional wrestling promotion in the United States.

Brandi has held several roles within AEW. She just returned from maternity break as an in-ring performer. She also stars with her husband Cody Rhodes on the reality series “Rhodes to the Top.”

The official AEW Twitter account recently celebrated Brandi’s anniversary as CBO. Many fans reacted negatively to the tweet. Many believe she only got the job due to nepotism.

“Gotta love nepotism.”

“On this day in history AEW showed that nepotism is alive and well. Talk about not deserving your role, and then proving it.”

“I’m not intending to throw salt on an open wound, but most brand officers have a visible media presence on things like diversity, growth of the brand, new marketing opportunities, etc. but even on the AEW website (under News) she is totally invisible. It there an actual CBO job?”

“Just keep her away from the show please”

There were a handful of fans who expressed their support for Brandi Rhodes. A litany of the replies fell in the category of “unimpressed.”

The AEW fan base has made Brandi a target since the earliest days of the company. It seems like no matter what happens, she can’t escape the ire of the AEW faithful. You can check out an assortment of tweets below.
