Naomi’s WWE comeback may finally be getting close. After spending more than a year away from the ring due to her pregnancy and the birth of her first child with Jimmy Uso, WWE is now preparing for the former Women’s World Champion to return in the near future.
According to False Finish, WWE has started getting things ready for Naomi to make her way back to television. No exact return date or creative plans were provided, but the update makes it clear that her absence isn’t expected to last much longer. False Finish stated:
“WWE is currently preparing for a Naomi return in the near future.”
That’s a pretty big development considering how Naomi disappeared from WWE television in the first place. She didn’t leave after losing a feud or getting written off in an attack — she walked away while holding the Women’s World Championship because she was pregnant.
Naomi revealed the pregnancy during the August 18, 2025 episode of Monday Night RAW and relinquished the title during an emotional segment. Even then, she made it very clear that she viewed the situation as unfinished business, warning the rest of WWE’s women’s division that whoever held her championship when she returned should “proceed with caution.”
A couple of months later, Ringside News revealed just how wild the situation actually was. Naomi had competed at SummerSlam and taken bumps without knowing she was already pregnant. Jimmy Uso dropped that bombshell during an appearance on Cheap Heat, explaining that they didn’t learn Naomi was expecting until the day before she made the news public on RAW.
“Man, I’ll tell you this. The day she announced on Monday that Raw, we found out Sunday… bro, she was pregnant as f**k at SummerSlam and everything. And she was getting her ass kicked with a whole baby up in her and we had no idea. Had no idea, man.”
That meant Naomi had been wrestling high-level WWE matches while carrying a baby without either of them realizing it. What looked like business as usual inside the ring suddenly became a much crazier story once they learned what had been happening. Jimmy also opened up about becoming a father again at 40 and why this chapter of his life felt completely different from raising his older children when he was in his early twenties.
“Present is everything I stand on right now. I had my kids when I was, uh, 20, 21, you know. So, you know, I was in a whole… I was a whole another mindset, a whole another game. I was trying to get into the game. But now that we in the game, got security, man. We did our thing. This round—this having our child at 40—man, I’m so excited, brother. Like, I’m so locked in. But I’m also more nervous. I’m like, I’m on edge on everything.”
Naomi and Jimmy welcomed their first child together earlier this year, and Naomi has remained away from WWE while adjusting to motherhood. Jimmy eventually shared the happy news publicly, posting a photo of Naomi with their newborn son and thanking fans for their support.
Now the wrestling side of the story is coming back into focus. The biggest question isn’t simply when Naomi returns — it’s what WWE does with her once she walks through the curtain. Naomi never lost the Women’s World Championship inside the ring, and she literally told the division before leaving that she planned on coming back for what she considered hers.
That gives WWE a ready-made story without having to manufacture much of anything. Whoever is holding championship gold when Naomi returns could suddenly have a former champion standing across from them arguing that nobody ever actually beat her for the belt.
After more than a year away, Naomi returning as the woman who was forced to surrender her championship instead of losing it could immediately shake up WWE’s women’s title picture. WWE hasn’t revealed when she’ll be back or whether championship plans are already waiting for her, but if False Finish’s update is any indication, the Glow could be getting switched back on very soon.
