Update: It turns out that Brock Lesnar did not go home as previously reported. He IS expected to be on RAW tonight.

Original: Brock Lesnar won the WWE Title at Day 1, and the company promptly moved him over to the Raw brand. That doesn’t mean the Beast Incarnate will be on Monday’s show.

The WWE Champion is typically the main eventer on the Raw brand. Big E had been planned to carry the title for the foreseeable future. Roman Reigns had to miss his Universal Championship defense at the Day 1 premium live event against Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar was then moved into the scheduled four-way match for Big E’s title. He ultimately won and became the new WWE Champion. He was moved internally to the Raw roster by the company.

Brock will not be appearing at tonight’s WWE Raw, according to a report by PW Insider. This is the first Raw show since Lesnar won the title on New Year’s Day. Lesnar returned home after Day 1 and it now appears his return to the Raw brand as the WWE Champion will be delayed.

Lesnar will continue to appear for both brands. WWE considers the champion vs champion angle a big draw for his showdown with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. For now, fans will have to wait to see him appear for the red brand.

Brock Lesnar will likely feud with Bobby Lashley in the interim. It’s a dream match that has been a long time in the making. Once that wraps up, the build to Mania will begin. That feud may start tonight, but Brock won’t be in the house to help build it.
