Brock Lesnar was supposed to take on Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Day 1. Then plans changed. Brock Lesnar’s match was cancelled and he found another championship to go for.

Lesnar was placed in the fatal four-way match for the WWE Title. In the end, Big E went for a Big Ending on Lesnar, but The Beast Incarnate reversed it into an F5 and won the match.

Now Brock Lesnar is WWE Champion once again. We will have to see how this changes WWE’s plans from this point on, but this was certainly not the way WWE originally planned for Day 1 to go.
