It is usually a good thing for wrestlers to be a “Paul Heyman Guy.” Heyman has been one of the most successful managers in wrestling history. He has mentored the likes of CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and more.

Heyman can act as a mouthpiece for just about anybody. His acting skills bring a sense of reality to the ring that few can top. Most wrestlers who affiliate with him find themselves at or near the main event.

WWE on Fox recently posed a question to fans. They asked who they’d like to see if Paul Heyman were to mentor one superstar from NXT. The colorful brand’s champion, Tommaso Ciampa, responded with a GIF of himself shrugging as if to say, “Why not me?”

It makes sense. Ciampa has stated in the past that he has no interest in moving from NXT to the main roster. Heyman has sung the praises of the Sicilian Psychopath in the past. It seems like it would be a match made in heaven.

Fans have toyed with the idea of an alliance between Paul Heyman and Tommaso Ciampa ever since Heyman put him over after his match with Aleister Black (currently AEW’s Malakai Black). It would be a big move to have Heyman turn up on NXT. It also might help the show to pop a rating or two.

Tommaso Ciampa is doing just fine without Heyman for the time being. He is currently involved in a feud for his title with the up-and-coming Bron Breakker. One can only imagine how much he would benefit from a rub from Paul Heyman.
