Lance Storm is one of wrestling’s greatest examples of a perpetual student. He keeps up to date with current events and frequently comments on the news on social media. He is known for his voracious study of professional wrestling. He also has degree in Economics, so he’s no dummy. He has quite a head on his shoulders, despite the way he was portrayed as a wrestler.

Pope Francis recently gave a statement encouraging married couples to have more babies. He referred to a “demographic winter” which has led to declining birth rates, especially in Italy. The Pope thinks more people will solve the problems we face together as a planet.

Lance Storm didn’t hesitate to disagree with the Pontiff. He retweeted a story about the Catholic leader’s thoughts. Storm says the Pope has it all wrong.

“Isn’t over population one of our biggest problems? Not like we are on the verge of extinction. Well if we are it’s because having too many people is destroying the planet. Fewer carbon foot prints works as well as smaller ones.”

It is extremely rare to see a professional wrestler make a statement in disagreement with one of the world’s most influential religious leaders. Lance doesn’t seem to care. He thinks it’s common sense that more people means more problems.

World leaders have been cutting back on social programs that help support babies, even during a global pandemic. The Pope believes that more is better. Lance Storm has no time for that.
