WWE has released Jeff Hardy from his contract. One would imagine he is subject to a 90-day non-compete cause. After Hardy walked out on a match at a recent house show, speculation ran wild as to what went wrong. Hardy was subsequently sent home by the company.

Now, Sean Sapp of Fightful has reported that Jeff Hardy has been released by WWE. The circumstances of the release are unknown at this time. Sapp tweeted the news this morning.

“Fightful has learned WWE has released Jeff Hardy”

Hardy has a long history of issues with substance abuse and poor behavior. It is unknown at this time if this had anything to do with WWE letting him go. Ringside News will have more on the WWE release of Jeff Hardy as the story develops.
