Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano are each faced with a major career decision. With their NXT contracts up, the two superstars are each scheduled for one final appearance on Tuesday, December 14. After that, they become free agents if they don’t re-sign with the company.

O’Reilly has a cage match scheduled with Von Wagner on the show. Johnny said he plans to address his future in front of the live crowd. The locker room isn’t completely ready to give up on the pair signing with WWE. Fightful Select has reported that those higher up aren’t as confident.

Many in NXT are working under the belief that neither Gargano or Kyle O’Reilly will be back after their last scheduled appearances. That doesn’t mean WWE hasn’t tried to keep them around, though. The company would like to keep both wrestlers in the fold.

Both Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano have been offered multi-year deals to stay with WWE. They were brought to SmackDown recently. WWE has made no secret about wanting to keep both Gargano and O’Reilly.

The pair have been lynchpins of NXT since they debuted. Kyle held the NXT Tag titles three times. Gargano is a former NXT champion. O’Reilly has recently been working to help establish rookie Von Wagner. Johnny Gargano was a major part of the Team 2.0 vs Team Black and Gold angle that reached a crescendo at last night’s WarGames PPV.

Johnny Gargano said he will let the fans know more about his plans on Tuesday night’s NXT 2.0. The result of the O’Reilly vs Von Wagner steel cage match will also be telling. WWE made a big pitch to keep the two veterans, and now the ball is in their court.
