CM Punk made his All Elite Wrestling debut a few months ago at AEW Rampage: The First Dance. It certainly changed the pro wrestling world as many people took notice of the company. Tony Schiavone considered it the greatest debut in pro wrestling history.

CM Punk has become one of the mainstays of AEW television and has feuded against the likes of Darby Allin, Eddie Kingston and others. Finally, CM Punk started a long-awaited feud with MJF.

On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk squared off against Lee Moriarty in a decent match, where Punk was clearly out-wrestled by the younger star. In the end, Punk managed to win the match.

While speaking on The Experience podcast, Jim Cornette criticized AEW for having CM Punk get out-wrestled by babyfaces, which simply do not make sense storyline-wise.

“Just do not make CM Punk wrestle a babyface where he just has to get out-wrestled. Let him show vulnerability to a heel who uses underhanded tactics. It is a different context, and there, I understand that it is simply a story. And I am not even saying I hate the story. I am just saying that they are doing a good enough job telling the story that people may end up buying that Punk simply does not have what it takes anymore if they do notbe careful.”

We will have to wait and see how AEW will book CM Punk and MJF’s feud as it is certainly one of the best things going on in the company right now as fans can’t get enough of it.
