Ric Flair continues to try and uncancel himself. After the story of Flair’s inappropriate behavior towards a flight attendant on the infamous WWE “planeride from hell” resurfaced due to an episode of Dark Side of the Ring, The Nature Boy was quickly dropped by sponsors. He became toxic in the world of wrestling.

Since then, he’s started a podcast. He’s gone out of his way to try and salvage the ashes of his scorched legacy. Now, Flair has tweeted that he wants a match with AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara. He’s even willing to die for it.

“Like I Said… I’m Going To Die, And It’s Either Going To Be Next To My Hot Wife Or In The Ring Next To @sammyguevara. Preparing For One Or The Other! WOOOOO!”

Flair included a photo of his wife, himself training, and one of Guevara. Sammy responded to the tweet. “Wrestling God vs Spanish God,” he said. It sounds like he’s not against the idea.

It is unlikely that Tony Khan has any interest in bringing in Ric Flair at this time. Guevara himself was taken off AEW television for a short period for a controversy of his own. A creepy comment he made about Sasha Banks surfaced. Many fans believed Sammy might be finished in pro wrestling.

Meanwhile, Ric Flair is 72 years old. He hasn’t wrestled since 2011. His final match came against old rival Sting. Flair had previously lost a retirement match against Shawn Michaels in 2008 in WWE at WrestleMania 24. Flair has said he wants $100,000 for the match with Sammy Guevara.
