WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has not returned to pro wrestling since his release, but that didn’t stop WWE from offering him role. Angle also revealed the exorbitant amount of money he’d need to wrestle one more match. It seems Angle turned down being Matt Riddle’s role for a good reason.

Angle also worked as a producer in WWE but he was released last year in April, in what was the company’s biggest mass exodus so far. Angle wasn’t able to work as a producer for too long.

There was a chance Kurt Angle was going to be Matt Riddle’s manager last year. Unfortunately, that did not end up happening. Angle previously didn’t reveal the reason for this either.

While speaking on Talk Is Jericho, Kurt Angle revealed that WWE offered him two roles after he was released, which were being a coach in NXT and also Matt Riddle’s manager. Angle stated that he turned down being a manager due to very low pay.

“They did offer me a few jobs, though. They wanted me to be a coach at NXT. After that WWE also wanted me to manage Matt Riddle, which I was very interested in and I thought would be a great role. Unfortunately, the money was pretty bad. I am sorry, but when we talk about money, it better be at least worth it if we were going to do it. This amount was not worth it at all.”

Kurt Angle also stated that he wasn’t surprised Vince McMahon fired him from the producer role last year. Angle is enjoying his life in retirement after WrestleMania 35. We certainly wonder if he will make his return to pro wrestling one way or the other.
