Jim Ross is a veteran in the pro wrestling world, as he made a name for himself as a commentator in WWE, delivering some of the most iconic moments in the history of pro wrestling. Jim Ross also has a long history of health issues, including his Bell’s Palsy. It seems Ross might be missing out on AEW television for a while.

Many people have even called for Jim Ross’ death, which is simply uncalled for. The WWE Hall Of Famer previously revealed that he was going to get tested for skin cancer. Jim Ross then confirmed that he did, in fact, have skin cancer.

It was also said that Jim Ross might have to step down from the commentary booth due to skin cancer. Despite that, Jim Ross managed to work this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. He still signed off with a phrase that did not guarantee that fans will hear him next week.

Dave Meltzer spoke about this on Wrestling Observer Radio where he went into Jim Ross’ situation. Since the WWE Hall of Famer announcer is having so much radiation therapy for his cancer, it might not be feasible for him to make it to AEW’s television tapings for a while.

”If nothing else the way he said that was a thing of saying that he may not be — and I think he doesn’t know. He has 22 days of radiation starting on Monday, so it may not be, you know if he’s doing 22 straight days I don’t know if he’ll be able to go, even if he’s up to it. He could be gone for a few weeks. Hopefully everything works out.”

Meltzer also made a point to say that Jim Ross wants to work, obviously. That being said, if it is physically possible for him to be at Dynamite then he will fill his seat.

We sincerely hope Jim Ross will be okay as he continues to get treatment for his skin cancer. We will have to wait and see when Jim Ross will be able to make his return as he is determined to defeat cancer.
