Jay Lethal is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling after competing for over twenty years now. He established himself as one of the stars of the X-Division in TNA and then became one of the top talents in ROH as well. It seems Jeff Jarrett has a very high opinion about Jay Lethal.

With Ring of Honor releasing all of their talents in order to undergo a complete overhaul, Jay Lethal became a free agent. Lethal then shocked the world as he made his debut at AEW Full Gear.

Jim Cornett even previously stated that Tony Khan finally did something right by signing Jay Lethal to AEW. He even blasted WWE for letting AEW sign Jay Lethal in the first place.

While speaking with Andrew Donnelly of Wrestle Buddy, Jeff Jarrett was asked which pro wrestlers had yet to reach the absolute top of the business. Jarrett mentioned Jay Lethal and stated that he believes Lethal can compete at the upper echelon of the business.

“This is probably perfect timing, and I do not want to say he never made it but Jay Lethal is a talent in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2000 maybe 11, I am not all that good on timing- Jay has every tool in the toolbox. He can work, he can talk, he can entertain, he can work multiple styles: X Division style to the high-flying style to mat wrestling. Jay Lethal is simply a talent whom I believe has the talent to go to the very top of this business. He is simply just excellent and he knows his craft,”

Jay Lethal squared off against Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship last week on AEW Dynamite in a great match, but he wasn’t able to win it. It remains to be seen how Jay Lethal will be booked in AEW in the coming months.
