Paul Heyman is one of the most well-known and established names in the pro wrestling world. He is touted as one of the greatest minds to have ever been seen in the business. It seems Vince McMahon pulled him from Talking Smack for a good reason.

Paul Heyman is certainly one of the best talkers on the microphone and has helped elevate many Superstars he has worked with over the years and that includes Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and others.

Heyman was also a regular on Talking Smack alongside Kayla Braxton and was a highlight every week on the show. He was eventually replaced by Jackie Redmond and Matt Camp, who host the show now.

While speaking BT Sport’s “Ariel Helwani Meets” show, Paul Heyman revealed that it was too taxing on him to be on Talking Smack after the return of live crowds, which led to Vince McMahon having Heyman replaced.

“The culture here in WWE is ‘do it yesterday’. This is why the moment someone realized, ‘Oh, wait a second. If we are going to do live crowds again and Roman Reigns will always be in the dark match main event, we need Heyman for that. So we cannot do the show there, has to be in the studio, and Heyman cannot be in the studio. This is because we only have 3-4 weeks of Heyman on Talking Smack before we have to do something different. Vince says- ‘Get rid of him now.’ ‘Wait a minute, we still have 3-4 weeks to decide… ‘Vince says – ‘Get rid of him now. That’s the decision. Start replacing him now.”

Jim Ross recently stated that Paul Heyman is the difference-maker in WWE. Paul Heyman’s promos remain a highlight for many fans and there is simply no denying just how masterful he is in crafting promos and that is unlikely to ever change.
