Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have worked hard to establish themselves as one of the top tag teams in pro wrestling. They already proved their worth in AEW by winning the AEW Tag Team Titles once. The two also don’t care what their critics have to say about their matches.

FTR are true fans of the old school way of professional wrestling and was inspired by various legends, with Bret Hart being their greatest inspiration. CM Punk would certainly approve of this.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are also currently the AAA Tag Team Champions. At AEW Full Gear they challenged The Lucha Bros for the AEW Tag Team Titles. It was a high-action match, but in the end, FTR lost in an ending that left many fans confused.

While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru, Cornette talked about FTR’s match against the Lucha Bros. Cornette stated that FTR has been undermined by AEW so far and is being sabotaged by the company.

”The finish of that match; I actually wrote down as “is this sabotaged?” They are being sabotaged. There is no way, whether you like the Lucha Brothers or not, if you like the Lucha Brothers you will like this match. However, if oyu do not, which I have seen FTR against as much as any luchadores that I wanna see. It is simply a complete opposite style from theirs.

It is definitely not doing them any favors whatsoever, but the finish of that match was ludicrous and whoever called for it or was there a walk through where somebody could see how rotten this was gonna turn out in advance and made them do it anyway. I just do not have an answer for that.”

It was said that Rey Fenix has backstage heat in AEW after Full Gear as he did not check up on Dax Harwood after Harwood was knocked out 10 minutes into the match. We will have to see what happens to the feud between FTR and The Lucha Bros, as it is unlikely to end just yet from the looks of it.
