WWE SmackDown included a surprising addition to the program this week as Von Wagner was shown just standing next to Adam Pearce. This surprised a lot of fans, and some were crying out that it is far too soon to call up the NXT 2.0 Superstar who is currently in a partnership with Kyle O’Reilly. He wasn’t the only NXT Superstar backstage.

According to a report from PW Insider, Von Wagner was no alone in being the only NXT 2.0 Superstar around. Cora Jade, Dexter Lumis, and Dakota Kai were also around.

WWE NXT stars Cora Jade, Dexter Lumis and Dakota Kai were backstage at last night’s Friday Night Smackdown taping.

This is very interesting, because Lumis is booked in a match against Tony D’Angelo on NXT 2.0 next week. D’Angelo handed Indi Hartwell a dead fish, because he’s a wise guy like that. He is still very much a part of NXT’s storylines.

Cora Jade also appeared on NXT 2.0 in recent weeks as she wants a piece of Dakota Kai, who was also backstage this week for the blue brand. It was previously thought that Kai was getting a call-up as part of the 2021 WWE Draft, but she was sent back to NXT for some reason with a strange and insane new character tweak.
