WWE reported big growth across the board during their 3rd quarter earnings call and they celebrated that with another slew of releases. Nia Jax, Eva Marie, Ember Moon, Scarlett, and Karrion Kross were among those names and so was Keith Lee.

Vince McMahon reportedly saw something in Keith Lee after his breakout Survivor Series performance. Something certainly changed once Lee was called up to the main roster.

Keith Lee, who just returned after over half a year on the side, was released from WWE today. This came weeks after he re-emerged on television with the new Bearcat nickname.

Sean Sapp and PW Insider have both confirmed that Bearcat Keith Lee was released from his WWE contract today. This also came after the company made a pretty big deal about him going to RAW. Now fans will never see his limitless potential play out.

This is not good news for Keith Lee, but it’s also not terrible. He will be bound to a 90-day non-compete clause like all main roster talent who are released. Odds are he will have no trouble finding bookings.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
