Former WWE Superstar Andrade El Idolo had a solid run in NXT where he even won the NXT Championship, but his main roster run in comparison left much to be desired. He was finally granted his WWE release after WWE Fastlane back on March 21st. It seems Cody Rhodes doubts Andrade’s in-ring abilities.

Since his release, fans have been wondering which pro wrestling promotion Andrade El Idolo will call home next. That question was finally answered as Andrade El Idolo made his debut in AEW back in June.

Andrade debut with Vickie Guerrero as his manager but then Vickie Guerrero was replaced by her nephew Chavo Guerrero. Andrade also kicked Chago Guerrero out eventually. Andrade is currently feuding with Cody Rhodes, who is certainly a divisive figure in AEW.

Ahead of his match against Andrade El Idolo on AEW Dynamite this week, Cody Rhodes took to Twitter and said that Andrade has all the tools and a hearty list of accolades to his name. Despite that, Cody Rhodes doubts Andrade can hang with him inside the squared circle.
