Former WWE Superstar Andrade El Idolo had a solid run in NXT where he even won the NXT Championship, but his main roster run in comparison left much to be desired. He was finally granted his WWE release after WWE Fastlane back on March 21st.

Since his release, fans have been wondering which pro wrestling promotion Andrade El Idolo will call home next. That question was finally answered on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, as Andrade El Idolo made his debut on the show.

While the majority of fans and pro wrestlers were certainly very happy to see Andrade in AEW, it seems a pro wrestling legend isn’t too high on Andrade’s appearance in the company.

While speaking on his Drive Thru podcast, Jim Cornette talked about Andrade’s debut and questioned the use of Vickie Guerrero as his manager all of a sudden. He added that Andrade is likely to be pigeonholed in AEW for the first six months as well.

“He’s here to be the face of Latinos and the face of AEW. He’s got a thick accent that you can barely understand so he needs a manager. But Vickie Guerrero? What are her manager qualifications? Every three months she comes down to the ring with Nyla Rose, and Nyla Rose gets beat. And she couldn’t sign Jade Cargill and we don’t see her for months at a time unless she’s on the floor with the paid fans, f**king singing Judas. But suddenly now, I guess because she speaks Spanish, so somehow they go together like peanut butter & jelly.”

“Another false start for this guy. We pigeonhole him in one direction and then six months later they try to push him seriously.”

“If you would have said in advance, Andrade would be on the show Friday night, who cares?”

We certainly wonder whether Jim Cornette’s words will come true or not, as many fans agreed that TNT Champion Miro was floundering in a feud that did him no favors until he finally won the title.
