Buddy Murphy was one of the mainstays of 205 Live, where he put on excellent matches on weekly basis. Murphy would eventually move to the main roster where he floundered after a while. He was eventually released back in June. Now it seems his NJPW debut has been confirmed.

After his WWE release, Buddy Murphy worked very hard to get into the best shape of his life. He also hinted at going to Impact Wrestling and it is very likely that he’s signing with the company.

Buddy Murphy was also selling his old wrestling gear from Friday Night Smackdown. During the recent New Japan Showdown taping in Philadelphia, it was officially announced that Murphy, who is now known as Matthews, is set to make his debut in NJPW.

Matthews will be making his NJPW debut at the Battle In The Valley event. It is scheduled to take place in San Jose, California on November 13. It remains to be seen how Matthews will fare in NJPW as fans are certainly excited to see him in action.
