During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s initial intentions for Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins in the WWE Draft. They wanted to leave Dawkins on SmackDown, but it was always their plan to move Ford over. After all, Ford’s wife Bianca Belair was already called by RAW in the draft and WWE doesn’t like breaking up married couples.

By the way, did you hear that the Street Profits were almost broken up? They were. Montez Ford was always going to RAW, but they were thinking of leaving Angelo Dawkins on SmackDown and breaking up the team which blows my mind.”

It was also noted that WWE broke up every women’s tag team except for their WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Thankfully, WWE decided to keep the Street Profits together, but you can also never count out Vince McMahon’s proclivity to get heat, so one could always turn on the other eventually.
