WWE debuted Rick Steiner’s son, but they didn’t let him keep his family name. Bron Breakker will become a huge star for the company, and many fans are wondering why the Steiner name didn’t go with him. In fact, CM Punk even weighed in on the situation.

It was previously reported that the NXT commentary team isn’t allowed to mention Bron Breakker’s Steiner lineage. This was met with a lot of pushback within the fan base who would love for them to call out that connection.

According to Wrestling News, Vince McMahon has no issue with Scott Steiner. He isn’t in the WWE Hall of Fame because Scott Steiner doesn’t want the induction.

It was also noted that “Vince McMahon doesn’t have the same issues that he did with Bruno Sammartino and The Ultimate Warrior so if Scott wants to talk then Vince will likely listen.”

There doesn’t seem to be any heat between Vince McMahon and the Steiners. At this juncture it’s unknown why WWE made the call to keep Breakker from using his family name, but it reportedly doesn’t have anything to do with ill-feelings from Mr. McMahon.
