Shane Thorne hasn’t been seen on WWE television since Slapjack was cast aside when Retribution split up. It seems that they have a new character for him that builds on his Australian heritage.

Thorne worked a dark match prior to SmackDown this week and he debuted a very interesting gimmick. While wearing clothes that resemble Paul Hogan’s “Crocodile Dundee” gimmick, Thorne made his way to the ring.

This was a big surprise for fans in Philly, because they didn’t expect to see Shane Thorne. Many might not have even realized Thorne was the same guy who wore that mask in Retribution.

You can check out the video below thanks to Grim from Grim’s Toy Show. We’ll have to see how long it takes for that gimmick to make its way onto television.
