WWE released Bronson Reed from his NXT contract back in August as the company believed Reed simply didn’t fit the new vision of the brand. WWE also had plans for Bronson Reed on the main roster prior to his release.

Bronson Reed also recently revealed that WWE told him to smile more. He even previously called out Miro after his WWE release, making his intentions clear.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bronson Reed talked about being released from WWE. The former WWE Superstar claimed that Shawn Michaels texted him after his release from the company and told him to prove to the company that releasing him was a mistake.

“I got to speak with Shawn right after my release. He actually texted me, very shocked, and said, ‘You have to show them that it was a mistake.  Keep working. It was not something we saw coming.’ I was speaking with him at the previous tapings about future storylines, and where we were headed. In my mind, creative already had plans for me until the end of the year.”

It remains to be seen what is next in store for Bronson Reed’s pro wrestling career and fans are eagerly waiting to see the next chapter in his life.
