Tommy Dreamer got a lot of heat over statements he made during Dark Side of the Ring’s episode about the Plane Ride From Hell. He seemed to excuse Ric Flair’s actions, and that did not go over well in 2021. He was suspended from Impact Wrestling and his future on Busted Open Radio is up in the air as well.

Dreamer released a public statement on the matter. He said it was never his intention to offend anyone, but he understands that his comments were insensitive and triggering.

Regarding my comments on Dark Side of the ring. It was never my intention to offend, hurt or victim shame anyone. I understand my comments were insensitive & could trigger emotions in someone’s own personal past. I do not condone sexual misconduct of any kind. I apologize to anyone I offended. From the bottom of my heart I am so sorry.

We’ll have to see if Tommy Dreamer is able to come back to Impact Wrestling after a little time away. Ric Flair also upset a lot of people with the stories about him, and there are calls for AEW to never bring him in now.
