Kenny Omega is currently the AAA Mega Champion and also the AEW World Champion. He remains booked as one of the best champions in recent memory and his high work rate speaks for itself. He also successfully retained his AEW world title against Christian Cage at All Out.

Kenny Omega made a name for himself with his incredible matches against the likes of Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito in NJPW and is regarded as one of the best wrestlers in the world right now.

AEW All Out was also a significant event for the company due to the debuts of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson. It instantly raised the stock of the company and gave a lot of momentum to the company.

While speaking with Adam’s Apple, Kenny Omega talked about AEW succeeding in the 18-45 demographic and stated that to him, AEW is simply a different option rather than direct competition to other pro wrestling companies.

“We were able to introduce some fresh faces that people hadn’t seen on TV, and I think that we’re mixing them in with established faces like the guys Daniel Bryan, Adam Cole, CM Punk. And when you do that on worldwide television, it gets people excited and gives them something fresh. We just happen to be another promotion, so it’s competition across the board for everyone.

“I’ve always been the guy that when I’m there at that building, I’m just going to try my best, put out the best product possible, and just be different. So I feel like rather more than competition, we’re  just that other option out there for you if you want to see something different and new.”

Kenny Omega is set to square off against Bryan Danielson on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam in a true dream match for many. It will be interesting to see who will win the match in the end.
