Finn Balor is a former 2-time NXT Champion and has competed in high profile matches since his return to NXT back in 2019. Before that, Balor was working in the main roster for few years, where he was not utilized well.

After a highly successful second run in NXT, Finn Balor made his return to Friday Night Smackdown last month as he took out Sami Zayn and made it clear that he is back on the main roster with a goal in mind and that goal is the WWE Universal Championship.

Finn Balor has also competed all over the world before making his way to WWE, especially in NJPW where he had a tremendous run as Prince Devitt, leader of the Bullet Club.

While speaking to Cultaholic, Finn Balor talked about opening the ‘Forbidden Door.’ He was very enthusiastic about the idea, but WWE needs to approve of the idea first.

“I love the idea of the Forbidden Door. I feel like if I have an opportunity to wrestle in Japan or Mexico or Europe, for whatever promotion, I would love to be able to do. Obviously, contractually in WWE, they take care of all my dates and my bookings and my travel. They organize everything. If we could set up a working relationship between some of these other brands from around the world, I would love to challenge myself against performers from different regions.”

It was recently announced that Roman Reigns will be defending his WWE Universal Championship against Finn Balor at WWE Extreme Rules on September 26. We will have to wait and see who will win the match as Finn Balor will be using his Demon King gimmick.
