AEW’s inception in 2019 made the whole pro wrestling world take notice right from day one. Over the course of two years, the company has grown leaps and bounds in many ways but there is still lot of aspects that they have to improve.

Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and became one of the mainstays of the company since then. He is also confident when it comes to AEW getting more fans thanks to its diverse product.

CM Punk himself also recently stated that he isn’t focused on bringing back older pro wrestling fans who stopped watching the product long ago.

While speaking to Rick Ucchino and Tony Pike on Cincy 360, Jon Moxley stated that he believes AEW is bringing in brand new fans and not just lapsed fans who started watching pro wrestling again after many years.

“I think we’re building a lot of new fans. I think part of the idea first was to get back the quote-unquote lapsed fan or whatever, someone who stopped watching the early 2000s or whatever, but I don’t think that’s even really the thing. I think we’re just creating brand new fans, I think now kids are starting to dress like Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin, and they’re buying the toys, and again they’re new, and they’re getting hooked and creating new wrestling fans.”

Jon Moxley defeated Minoru Suzuki on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Moxley.
