Delay In Lawsuit Over Randy Orton’s Tattoos

Randy Orton’s tattoos were the subject of lawsuit that has stretched on for years. That lawsuit will continue, because it was delayed once again.

A lawsuit from tattoo artist Catherine Alexander against WWE, Take-Two Interactive, 2k Games, and more was set to be brought before the U.S. District Court Southern District of Illinois on September 20th. That isn’t happening now.

According to PW Insider, this case was delayed yet again. The pandemic caused the cause to be delayed once again. No new date was given in the report.

The U.S. District Court Southern District of Illinois (East St. Louis) ruled yesterday that the trial in the lawsuit brought by tattoo artist Catherine Alexander against World Wrestling Entertainment, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., 2K Games, Inc., 2K Sports, Inc., Visual Concepts Entertainment, Yuke’s Co., Ltd. and Yuke’s LA Inc will be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This lawsuit is over 2k and WWE using Randy Orton’s tattoos in their game, ones that Alexander claim are her intellectual property. They offered her a $450 payout a long time ago, but that wasn’t enough. She took them to court and that case will continue.
