AEW Dynamite brought in 1.3 million viewers this week, and that was an incredible response after All Out. 681k of those viewers were in the coveted 18 to 49 demographic which gave them a .53 rating. WWE lost this week’s ratings battle.

There is a difference between viewership and ratings. While most pay attention to viewership number alone, the ratings play a very important part in the value of a television show. That is the percentage of the core desired audience for advertisers, and AEW Dynamite edged out WWE RAW this week.

WWE RAW brought three-hour overnight average of 1.85 million viewers with a .52 rating in the coveted demographic. This figure means that AEW beat WWE this week in an area that is treasured by advertisers.

Tony Khan has a lot of new pieces to work with and fans might just continue tuning in to see what will happen with Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole in the mix. There is also a lot of interest about CM Punk’s next move, and it appears that he’s gunning for Team Taz.

WWE might want to listen to Mick Foley, because Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy said that WWE has problem with AEW. This week’s ratings might have proven that to be a reality. WWE will continue with their blinders on, and Foley reportedly has some heat over those comments.
