Two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair shocked the pro wrestling world when he requested his release from WWE earlier this month. It was previously said that Ric Flair wants one more in-ring run, and he has teased that on numerous occasions.

Ric Flair uploaded a photo of himself showing off his gains at the gym and also declared in post that he will never retire. TripleMania XXIX even featured a surprise appearance from Ric Flair, who accompanied Andrade El Idolo to the ring.

On top of that, Ric Flair does not have non-compete clause after parting ways with WWE, This led many fans to wonder whether he will be making his way to AEW or not.

While speaking on the 83 Weeks Podcast, Eric Bischoff talked about Ric Flair going to AEW. Bischoff stated that he believes Ric Flair will join AEW and fans will have an absolute blast when he does and rejoin in seeing someone like Ric Flair step in the ring at 72-years-old.

“Watch what happens when Ric Flair steps in the ring in AEW. Just watch what happens. We saw what happened in Mexico in AAA when Ric Flair and Andrade got together. When Ric Flair steps back in the ring and starts chopping somebody, nobody is going to say to themselves ‘Oh man, that was a weak chop, he doesn’t chop as well as he did 20 years ago.

Nobody could give two sh*ts, they’re going to have a blast. They’ll rejoice, it’s going to trigger their memory and they’re going to go back in time and remember some of those magic Ric Flair moments and that’s what they’re paying their money for.”

Ric Flair also appeared during NWA 73 and cut heartfelt promo. We will have to wait and see if he will make his way to AEW or not soon enough.
