AEW’s Double or Nothing event fit very well in Las Vegas, but it just didn’t work with the pandemic. The spread of COVID-19 is improving, to a certain degree, and there is hope that AEW can return to the west coast once again very soon.

The pandemic put a stop on many plans, including going out west with AEW’s weekly television shows. There are still strict ordinances and mask mandates in place throughout certain areas, and that will hopefully slow the spread of COVID-19 enough where we can all get back to our normal lives.

Tony Khan recently spoke to Wrestling Observer Radio about AEW’s plans. They hope to take show to London and play the home of the Fulham football club. There is also a goal to make their way back to Sin City for next year’s Double or Nothing event.

“I think it’s likely that if things stay on track that Double Or Nothing could come back to Vegas next year. If Double Or Nothing comes out to Vegas next year, I’d like to bring AEW out to California while we’re there and try to make that possible. I can’t promise but if things go to plan, hopefully, next year around Double Or Nothing.”

We’ll have to see what’s in store for the future of AEW. The fact is that a lot of things depend on COVID-19 and how that terrible virus continues its spread. There are many things people can do to slow the spread. Social distancing, masks, and getting vaccinated is always going to be your best bet. Hopefully, AEW Double or Nothing will take place in Las Vegas in 2022.
