WWE isn’t in the mood to hire new indie wrestlers and Tony Khan noticed the new trend. He also replied to this subject by picking a very appropriate animated gif.

Tony Khan heard the story that WWE isn’t looking to hire indie wrestlers. They want younger, cross-over athletes they can train to be WWE Superstars. It appears that this will be how the company decided to shape their roster from this point on; or until they change edicts again.

Khan uploaded an animated gif of Ben Affleck from The Boiler Room. You can check out the whole clip below. The general mood was translated very well from the clip he picked. It was also a very tongue-in-cheek reply. They don’t hire brokers, they train new ones. The fact that trainees are paid trash wages also wasn’t lost on us.

Khan also replied with another gif from Tin Cup. This one said, “I’ll take 18 of them all day.” Obviously, TK would rather have indie wrestlers over athletes he needs to train.

We’ll have to see how AEW continues benefiting from WWE’s new recruitment strategy. This seemingly leaves even more top indie talent to AEW at this juncture. If anything, it appears that Tony Khan got a kick out of that news.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
