WWE still has not announced where Survivor Series 2026 will take place, and now there is a better idea why.
WrestleVotes noted on Fightful Select that WWE was exploring the idea of taking the 2026 Survivor Series premium live event to an international location at one point in late 2025. That idea did not hold up, and those plans fell apart over the last few months.
One source believes that is the main reason WWE has not locked in a public date or location for Survivor Series yet. For a major show like Survivor Series, that delay stands out, especially with SummerSlam already getting closer.
Boston, Massachusetts, also made a push to host the 2026 event. That did not work out either. Much like the negotiations for John Cena’s Last Match, the Boston talks ran into problems when it came down to the money.
That leaves WWE without an announced home for one of its biggest annual shows. Survivor Series is one of the company’s longest-running premium live events, so the location delay is not exactly small news.
As of now, there is still no word on where Survivor Series 2026 will take place. An official announcement is expected before SummerSlam, so WWE still has time to make the call and get the market rolling.
WWE has been aggressive with major event locations in recent years, especially with international shows becoming a bigger part of the business. Survivor Series almost joined that list, but for now, those plans are dead and WWE is back to figuring out where the show lands.
