16-time World Champion John Cena’s contributions to WWE cannot be understated as he was the face of the company during the PG Era. He remained babyface for the entire time and never turned heel. Vince McMahon even had an idea of turning him into a Bret Hart-like heel at one point in time. Roman Reigns decided to comment on the matter of Cena turning heel or not.

John Cena showed he could be an effective heel with his Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick but WWE never really pulled the trigger once Cena became the face of the company. Vince McMahon was even proud of rejecting ideas for Cena’s heel turn.

While speaking to BT Sports’ Ariel Helwani, Roman Reigns was asked if John Cena should have turned heel after he became the face of the company. Reigns stated that John Cena made the decisions he wanted to and that’s what mattered and that no one should question his decisions.

“We can side seat drive his career and his life all we want but at the end of the day, he’s done pretty good and he’s still out there hustling and doing his thing. I think every man has their own path and their own decisions to influence that path. I think he did it his way and that’s the only way it should’ve happened.”

Even Jim Ross couldn’t accept the fact that John Cena never turned heel but it is simply something fans and pro wrestlers alike have to accept at this point in time, s John Cena is unlikely ever turn heel.
