Roman Reigns Takes Shot At Brock Lesnar For Picking Fight With Him To Be On ‘Island Of Relevancy’

Roman Reigns honed his craft as a WWE Superstar, especially after returning last year as a heel for the first time in many years. Fans are clearly behind his Tribal Chief gimmick as it has been massive success so far. Even then, many believe that people don’t give Reigns the credit he deserves. Now it seems he has his sights set on Brock Lesnar.

At WWE SummerSlam, Roman Reigns defeated John Cena and added him to a long list of opponents he thwarted. After that Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to WWE after well over year.

After making his return, Brock Lesnar immediately confronted Roman Reigns and made it clear that he will be coming after The Tribal Chief, as Paul Heyman looked on in disbelief.

While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Roman Reigns talked about Brock Lesnar confronting him at the end of WWE SummerSlam and claimed that Lesnar wants to be on the ‘island of relevancy’ the same way John Cena did.

“He wanted to get the best look possible at what’s going on here, the most dominant Universal Champion to ever do this thing. He sees the island of relevancy just like John Cena did. He’s coming with a farmer/butcher outlook as opposed to being the Hollywood guy. It just goes to show all this work and foundation that I’ve been laying down with the Bloodline, continually showing that we’re number one. There ain’t nobody…they want to talk about it and it’s really just to put themselves in the conversation with me to amplify everything, but there ain’t anybody out there that can compete with what we’re doing. Between me, my cousins [The Usos], the wise man [Paul Heyman], we’re putting together greatness right now. We’re raising the bar and lifting the standard. Brock Lesnar, like everybody else in this industry, they want to be part of that.”

We will have to wait and see how the feud between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar will be booked, as a match between the two is likely to take place at WWE Crown Jewel in October.
