CM Punk took the pro wrestling world by storm after making his debut on last week’s AEW Rampage: The First Dance. In fact, his debut might even make it to Guinness World Records. It seems CM Punk only had one thing to say during his AEW debut promo.

Punk himself absolutely loved his AEW debut and he has singlehandedly became the most talked-about pro wrestler on the planet right now, much to the delight of Mick Foley.

It was also exclusively reported by Ringside News that CM Punk agreed to work 10 to 12 dates per year for AEW. On top of that, CM Punk had been in talks with AEW for almost two years.

While speaking to What Happened When, Tony Schiavone revealed that CM Punk’s promo was mostly from the heart and he was only told to mention Darby Allin and set up his AEW All Out match against him.

“I talked to him about his promo and he said, ‘I really don’t know, I’ve been thinking about so many things to say, and I really don’t know what I’m going to say’. We just did know that the one thing he was gonna touch on was Darby to set up the pay-per-view match. From then on we had no idea what he was going to say or how he was going to say it. And, to be honest with you, he didn’t let us on. It really looked like to me he was really, really, really thinking about this hard and it had weighed on him for some time.”

Eric Bischoff believed that WWE will change its product thanks to CM Punk and at this point in time, we will have to wait and see if that will happen or not.
