WWE’s NXT brand presented TakeOver: 36 and they kicked off the show with a Million Dollar Title match. That match had even more on the line as LA Knight and Cameron Grimes battled for that legendary title. If Knight won, then Ted DiBiase himself would be forced to be his butler.

The Capitol Wrestling Center was hot for this opening match. LA Knight and Cameron Grimes put forth incredible performances to open up the show in the best way possible.

There were a couple near falls and each man had a chance to shine. Cameron Grimes was busted open across the bridge of his nose as well. At one point, Grimes locked on the Million Dollar Dream and he wouldn’t let go, but then Knight was able to drive Grimes into a turnbuckle to finally break the hold.

LA Knight was about to use the title as a weapon, but then Grimes kicked him to the outside of the ring. This is when Ted DiBiase took Knight out with his own Million Dollar Dream and that allowed Grimes to nail the Cave-In for the win.

Now NXT has a new Million Dollar Champion. After the match was over, Grimes and Ted DiBiase celebrated in the middle of the ring. It was a hard-fought victory, for sure.
