Bray Wyatt was released from WWE and he very well could become another huge AEW signee. CM Punk’s recent debut for the company excited the pro wrestling world in a big way. Now Wyatt is very likely to follow the Second City Savior.

Wyatt had creative frustrations within WWE and he was eventually released. We might hear the full story someday. He is still under his 90-day non-compete clause, so no real talks can begin just yet with any other company. He is in the same situation as so many recently released WWE superstars where there is interest, but they cannot legally enter into formal talks.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Bray Wyatt is not 100% going to AEW, but “it’s most likely happening.” He stated that this is the same stage that they were at when he predicted that Aleister Black was headed to Tony Khan’s company as well.

“He’s obviously not the only return. We’re gonna see a lot of different people coming up including Bray Wyatt…It’s not 100 percent, his non-compete is not up. It’s most likely happening. It’s at the same stage when I said Aleister Black, long before it happened. It’s the same stage. I don’t think there’s pen to paper or anything like that. It’s an expectation that’s pretty strong, put it that way.”

We’ll have to see if Bray Wyatt finds his way to AEW. Recent reports said that third big signing is on the way. Bryan Danielson is also on his way to AEW, and CM Punk’s return to pro wrestling broke the internet. We have to wonder what the Eater of Worlds has in store for AEW
