Carmelo Hayes won a semi-final match against Duke Hudson this week on NXT. That hard-fought victory secured him a spot in the final match of the Breakout Tournament. He will face Odyssey Jones, who previously qualified for the finals.

Pete Dunne also cut a promo on Tommaso Ciampa this week on NXT. He said “I will see you next week.” That presumably means that the two are destined to throw down next week in the Capitol Wrestling Center.

Next week’s NXT will be pre-taped as the company is taping three weeks at once after TakeOver: 36. We will have to see if they continue that trend, but USA Network executives might not be too thrilled about the idea of paying top dollar for a pretaped show.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
