John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. From 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood. That could change after SummerSlam, but he is still booked for the SmackDown supershow at Madison Square Garden. Cena also told Vince McMahon that he wanted to work more dates.

Twitter is certainly an interesting place where anything and everything can become a trending topic at the drop of a hat. That is exactly what happened as a lot of fans have been using the phrase “Black John Cena” in response to a tweet from Brendan Cobbina. It quickly became a trending topic on Twitter with the original tweet garnering over 57k likes thus far.

Cobbina’s picture led to tons of memes and jokes on Twitter as “Black John Cena” continued to trend. Even WWE Superstar R-Truth couldn’t help himself and decided to join in on the fun.

John Cena noticed the trend and he added his own nod to the viral meme. The 16x World Champion took to his Instagram and simply posted a photo of Brendan Cobbina. Naturally, Cena didn’t add any caption for context, because that is how he uses Instagram. Cobbina has certainly been enjoying the attention and we cannot blame him.
