Keith Lee Competes Before WWE SmackDown

WWE held SmackDown in Tampa tonight, and a few NXT Superstars competed before the show went live on FOX. One surprising name from the Raw brand was present as well.

Keith Lee is a Raw Superstar, so it is interesting that he competed before the blue brand’s show this week. He took on Austin Theory, who has appeared in multiple dark matches times over the past few weeks. Lee won that match, but it still doesn’t explain why he was in Tampa for SmackDown.

The second dark match saw Aliyah take on Dakota Kai. Aliyah was reportedly called up to the main roster in exchange for Mandy Rose, but Dakota Kai is heavily involve in the current NXT television program. She has an NXT Women’s Title match at TakeOver: 36 on August 22nd. In the end, Dakota Kai won the match.
