WWE Confirms Ric Flair’s Release

WWE has finally confirmed that Ric Flair is no longer with the company. This followed a report that The Nature Boy requested his release and it was granted.

The company sent out a very short message without any mention of wishing him well in his future endeavors. The tweet simply made it clear that Ric Flair is no longer with WWE as they have come to terms on his release.

We have come to terms on the release of Ric Flair as of today, 8/03/2021.

This announcement was dated for today despite the news dropping about his WWE release yesterday. Flair reportedly contacted Vince McMahon and gave him piece of his mind. That included complaining about Charlotte Flair’s booking among other things. By the end of the communication, Vince McMahon granted Ric Flair’s release request.

We will have to see what’s next for The Nature Boy, but he is no longer bound to a WWE contract.
