AEW presented a Blood & Guts match that ended with a big spot. Sadly, AEW didn’t think ahead about the best angle to shoot that big fall for Chris Jericho. Many panned the spot and Shotzi Blackheart was right there with them, but she never meant to offend the first-ever Undisputed Champion.

On the May 5th episode of AEW Dynamite, The Pinnacle defeated The Inner Circle in a special Blood & Guts Match that saw Chris Jericho fall from the top of a steel cage onto a crash pad made of cardboard boxes. Following the ending of the match, WWE star Shotzi tweeted out a Gif of someone gently falling on a mattress in response to AEW’s use of a crash pad to soften Jericho’s fall.

Chris Jericho has previously called out people for mocking his fall on Dynamite, Making specific allusion to Shotzi. In a recent interview with talkSPORT, Shotzi responded to Jericho’s comments about her reaction to Jericho’s crash pad fall.

“I meant no offence to Chris Jericho. I thought, honestly, the match was great. But, you know what… like, take a joke, Take a joke, bud! [laughs].”

“It’s just a GIF. Laugh at it and move on. It’s live TV. Things happen, it’s pro wrestling. Don’t take life too seriously is all I have to say.”

After Shotzi’s original tweet sparked Jericho’s response, she was called up from NXT to be a member of the SmackDown roster with Tegan Nox. Now they are “Shotzi & Nox” and vying for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Shotzi & Nox have picked up two victories over current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya & Tamina. The team of Shotzi & Nox were also named number one contenders and will receive a match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships in the future. Chris Jericho obviously doesn’t want to talk about that cardboard box crash pad incident again.
