The AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view was a night of solid matches and memorable moments, which included shocking debuts. Former WWE Superstar and current NJPW star Lio Rush made his debut at the pay-per-view.

Unfortunately for Lio Rush, his debut was short-lived as he suffered an AC injury in the Casino Battle Royale at the pay-per-view. Due to this, he had announced his retirement from pro wrestling back in June.

Lio Rush previously stated that he was content with what Rush had accomplished in his pro wrestling career. Rush recently took to Twitter and revealed that he has been cleared for an in-ring return after three months of rehab.

Every single day for the past 3 months I’ve been in rehab working harder than I ever have before. Happy to announce that today….I’ve been cleared.

Lio Rush had contractual agreements with New Japan Pro-Wrestling and previously stated he intends to fulfil those commitments when healthy. Rush has been advertised for upcoming NJPW events including Resurgence on August 14 and Fighting Spirit Unleashed on August 16. We will have to see if he will end his career after fulfilling his obligations with NJPW.
