Reginald Gets A Name Change On WWE SmackDown

Reginald has come a long way since debuting on WWE television. Now he has a new name to go along with his experience in the company. Since his name was already one word, they just shortened it.

Reginald entered WWE as Carmella’s Sommelier, but then he as dumped by Mella and dissed by Sasha Banks. He ended up with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for a bit, but now he is on his own.

During SmackDown this week, Reginald cut a backstage promo with Kayla Braxton where he told her to just call him “Reggie.” Then he had a match and he was announced as “Reggie.” The nameplate and titantron screen still said “Reginald.”

We’ll have to see if this is an official name change, because that will mean that they change the graphics. At least Reginald has a new nickname.
