Finn Balor was NXT Champion, but he lost that belt to Karrion Kross. He took some time off television and most were expecting him to make a jump back to the main roster. It appears that wait will soon be over.
The former NXT Champion was brought to the black and gold brand as a means to battle AEW in the Wednesday Night War. After NXT moved to Tuesday nights, Balor’s purpose was no longer needed to bring a big name to the brand.
Balor will apparently be at SmackDown tonight. Wrestle Votes tweeted out a bit of a spoiler to let fans know that The Prince should be expected.

This could be an interesting situation, because Balor’s booking could create a lot of interest. There are also several ways that they could take the situation. SmackDown will see live fans return tonight and they’re likely going to get an incredible show.
